About Makor Water Systems
Honest, local water treatment for East Tennessee families. No scare tactics, no franchise markups.

Why I Started Makor
Makor started with my own family. When I began paying closer attention to my health, I started learning what was actually in our food and water, and I couldn’t unsee it. I wanted to do something about it, first at home and then for our neighbors across East Tennessee.
When I looked at the options, homeowners were stuck between cheap store-bought filters that don’t solve the problem and national dealers who lean on scare tactics and big markups. I knew there was a more honest way to do this.
So I built Makor on straight answers, quality equipment, and careful installation. When you call, you talk to me, not a call center.
Makor is a family business: me, my wife Sydney, our son Franklin, and our three dogs, Bexley, Leo, and Scotti.
Pure from the Source
Makor (מקור) is Hebrew for source, like a spring of water. We chose it for two reasons. Water is the source of health and everyday life, and God is the source of everything. Scripture calls Him the fountain of living waters (Jeremiah 2:13). Our tagline, Pure from the Source, is a reminder of why we started and a promise about every system we install.
How We Work
Straight answers, quality equipment, and a local person you can reach.
We test your water in your home, walk you through the results, explain your options clearly, and give you space to decide.
Digital control valves, coconut-shell carbon, and high-rejection RO membranes chosen for performance and long life.
Every system is sized to your plumbing, number of bathrooms, water hardness, and the specific contaminants we find.
Filter changes, system checks, and a local person to call whenever you need help.

Why East Tennessee Water Needs Local Knowledge
Water quality varies dramatically from downtown Knoxville to Hardin Valley, Maryville, and the foothills of the Smokies.
Knoxville City & Utility Districts
Whether you receive water through KUB, First Utility District (FUD), or West Knox Utility District, treated municipal water frequently contains chlorine, disinfection byproducts, and seasonal sediment runoff.
East TN Limestone Hard Water
The rich limestone geology of East Tennessee leaches heavy calcium and magnesium into water supplies. Without softening and filtration, this leads to scaled water heaters, soap scum, and shortened appliance lifespans.
